Plan Safe Implementation Research Interview Study
Purpose
The purpose of this research is to improve upon the design of an automated safety planning text messaging platform titled “Plan-Safe” that delivers short messages to help young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 create a safety plan and connect to mental health resources they might find useful. A safety plan is a document that includes highly personalized reminders, tips, and strategies that can help people cope effectively with suicidal thoughts.
This study aims to better understand the needs and future directions of Mental Health America (MHA), as well as how the design of the Plan-Safe program can reflect these needs and future directions. This study is specifically for adults who are employed by MHA.
