Leland is a Clinical Interventionist for the IntelliCare study, which utilizes a suite of mobile apps for the treatment of depression and anxiety. He coaches participants via text message and telephone to facilitate app engagement and respond to questions about using IntelliCare apps to achieve treatment goals. His primary research interests are in clinical health psychology/behavioral medicine, with a particular interest in how health behaviors (e.g., physical activity, diet, and sleep) interact with each other and have an overall impact on well-being. He also has an interest in leveraging technology (e.g., mHealth, eHealth, etc.) to advance behavioral health research and treatment. Leland is currently a PhD student in clinical psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He completed his undergraduate work at Cornell University in human development and family studies.
